Bees, Chiggers and Ticks! Oh My!

I am going to talk bugs today.  If you don't like bug talk (Sammy), you may now click the 'X' in the upper right-hand corner of your screen (Windows).  If you are an Apple fan, your 'X' is on the upper left.

I am not a squeamish female.  Messes happen.  Dogs and people throw up and pooh.  While given a choice, I would rather not be the one that has to clean up when accidents happen.  However, I will do so without complaint.

The only kind of crazy I get about bugs is picture taking crazy.  Abby, my housekeeper, once found a scorpion downstairs.  She was less than happy with me that the first thing I did was to take pictures of it, rather than to save her from it.  I think most bugs are picture-worthy.  Except cockroaches.  I immensely dislike cockroaches.

A Day To Remember

Today is my 20th Mother's Day without my mom.

This is the last picture I have of Mom.  It was taken on Easter 1990 with her precious granddaughter, Katie at Deb & Mike's place.

This Morning

Morning came for Roxy and me about six.  (Jon - I did that right, right?)  She dashed off to do whatever she does in the morning in the privacy of the woods and I started to walk up to the vineyard.  It is a short walk, just enough to stretch and wake up the sleeping joints and muscles.

Sun Sun Sun

If April showers bring May flowers, what did the Mayflower bring?

THE PILGRAMS!

There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the morning sun after forty days of rain.  Just ask Noah or any Washingtonian.  It rained all day yesterday.  It rained all night.  It was damp and chilly.  Our fire pit is doubling as a wading pool.  So far, Randy and I are 0 for 2 on the having good weather for visitors.  We may just have to keep the bed & breakfast closed until a bit later in the spring.

Our Friend Tom

Our good friend, Tom popped in to spend a couple of days with us last week.  Randy and I used to live next door to Tom when we lived in Sumner.  I guess it is called Lake Tapps now.

First it was Sumner, then it was Bonney Lake and I guess 'they' now have decided to stick with 'Lake Tapps'.  It was all very confusing for a while.
