A Leaf

I have happened across drafts of posts this morning which I obviously wrote before there was even a clue that we would be moving to Mountain Home.

Arkansas, not Idaho.

Since it's my blog and I can do what I want to, here is one ~

Quirks and All

I know I have quirks and issues.  And I am not afraid to admit it.  I am also not afraid to say that I have no intention of changing.

One of my big quirks is not taking the item that is on the front of the shelf in a store.  I want to have one that has been untouched by human hands.  Well, I do know that human (I hope) hands have had to touch that something to actually get it on the shelf.  I just don’t want the one out front that may have been fondled by anyone and everyone who happened by.

Counter Top Weekend Part Drei

6 pm on Labor Day and the laborers left.  Well, not really.  Randy spent some time showing them the Camaro.  Apparently, they can be bribed with treats just like Roxy.  “Finish the granite and make my wife happy and I will show you a red, shiny car.”

All I can say is that I am glad that it was a three- day weekend.  How could I have had a post called ‘Counter Top Weekend’ on a regular two-day weekend when this God-forsaken project has taken three days?

Counter Top Weekend Part Zwei

Sunday morning and Roxy is up at her usual time, 6 am-ish.  I usually don’t mind getting up that early, but today I am groaning inside to have to get out of bed.  Randy asks if I want him to take her out, but he usually isn’t awake and up that early, so I tell him "no, go back to sleep".

It is cool, foggy and quiet outside.  And a bit dark.  Roxy and I spend about 20 minutes outside sniffing and checking thing out.  I remember that with Counter Top Weekend part ein yesterday, I didn’t get a chance to grind coffee beans to refill my container.  I am trying to think of where in the house I can go to grind enough for a pot of coffee, but be enough away from the bedroom so as not to wake Randy up.

The garage.  I can go to the garage.

Counter Top Weekend Part Ein

On a whim Friday, I decided to get my hair cut.  Randy and I were driving through town and I was jotting down the names of salons to look up online when I got home.

Newsflash - not too many businesses in Mountain Home have websites.  I had to look up beauty salons the old fashioned way - using a 2010 Century Link phone book.  So this is why our real estate agent gave this to us.  How does this thing work again?

Anyway ~
